GuideHow it works

How it works

From the first call to your everyday orders. You keep your mind on what's next.

01Getting started

Getting started with ShipTo

A few days to a week. The first call is about understanding your business, not selling you a package. Bring your other questions too: retailers, apps, packaging.

  1. A call.
  2. A quote.
  3. Your store connects.
  4. We receive your goods.
  5. Your first orders ship.

Switching 3PLs? We plan the move with you. You keep your platform.

02A day at ShipTo

The journey of an order

From your store to tracking at your customer's, in eight steps.

03Grouped picking

24 orders, one trip

Instead of one trip per order, a picker takes 24 at a time.

  • The system groups the orders and plans the best route.
  • Two checks: one scan at picking, one scan at packing.
  • The efficient way: a full case when it does the job.

How to read the animation: a top view of the warehouse. Each bin on the cart is an order; each yellow square is an item taken from the shelf. Full carts stay at packing.
04Carriers

The right carrier, automatically

You get the same rates as our largest clients. For each parcel, the carrier is chosen by your rules.

05Our tools

Less to remember

  • Arivo, your client portal: orders, inventory, returns, billing.
  • Replenishment calculation: your sales and each supplier's lead time, so you know what to order and when.
  • Inventory analysis: what costs, what sits.
  • Targeted counts on at-risk locations.

06When things go wrong

When something goes wrong

Wrong item?

We replace it, at our cost.

Lost or damaged parcel?

We file the claim. Not you.

Problem at the source?

We flag it and fix it with you.

07Invoice

One monthly invoice, easy to read

No setup fees. Boxes and packaging materials: only what your orders use.

Receiving, storage, picking and packing, packaging materials, shipping and an account management fee: it's all detailed in your quote.

08Questions

Frequently asked questions

What's a 3PL?

A company that stores your products, packs your orders and ships them for you. You keep your brand and your sales. See the before and after

Does a 3PL cost more than doing it myself?

Less often than you'd think, once you count everything: your time, shipping at our rates, boxes paid as you use them, the space and equipment you no longer need. The full math

Am I locked into a contract?

No. There's no long-term contract: you can leave whenever you want, with reasonable notice. Just not a week before Black Friday: we need time to prepare your move properly.

Can you help me get into a retailer?

Yes. Case packs, UPC codes, labels, delivery procedures: we've done it for other clients. Big chains often provide their own tools for EDI and ASNs; we help you understand what they're asking for. If some of our clients already sell at that retailer, we can put you in touch, with their OK.

Do you have an order minimum?

No. And even at a small volume, you get our shipping rates. Not selling yet? Here's where to start.

Do I have to change sales platforms?

No. We connect to your store as it is.

How do my goods get to you?

In parcels or on pallets, from your supplier or from you.

Can I get part of my stock back?

Yes. A pallet of trade show material, for example: we store it and bring it out when you need it.

What about the holidays?

Let us know. We plan staff and space.

Can I visit the warehouse?

Yes, by appointment.

How quickly do you reply?

Within one business day.
